Everything smart relies on the network behind it. We design and install reliable home and office networks that give you strong, fast Wi-Fi in every room, from the loft to the bottom of the garden.
A well-designed network is also more secure. We can keep guest devices separate from your own and give your smart home devices a stable, dependable connection.
For new builds, we plan the cabling early so everything is in the right place. For existing homes and offices, we find the dead spots and fix them with as little disruption as possible.
A proper network, not just a router
Most homes run everything through the box the broadband provider sent. We replace it with a UniFi Dream Machine SE, a rack-mounted gateway that runs the whole network: the internet connection, security, the Wi-Fi access points and the wired devices. It has a built-in switch that powers access points and other devices over the network cable, so there's no need for a plug socket on the ceiling. And it's powerful enough for even the busiest home.
- Gateway, firewall and network controller in one rack unit
- Eight network ports, all of them powered (two PoE+ and six PoE), with up to 180 W in total
- 10G fibre connections, plus a 2.5G internet port
- Built-in threat detection and blocking, content filtering and ad blocking
- A drive bay and built-in storage for recording UniFi Protect cameras, if you choose them
- Secure remote access by VPN, so we can support you without visiting
Wi-Fi 7 in every room
Wi-Fi is delivered by UniFi U7 Pro XG access points. They're neat discs that sit flat on the ceiling or on a wall, wired back to the rack, rather than routers and boosters hidden behind the sofa. Each one uses the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard across three bands (2.4, 5 and 6 GHz). One covers up to around 140 m² and handles hundreds of devices. As you walk around the house, your phone moves smoothly from one access point to the next, so video calls and music don't drop.
- Wi-Fi 7 with the 6 GHz band for compatible phones and laptops
- Six spatial streams and a 10 Gb wired connection back to the rack
- Powered by the network cable, so there's no plug or power brick
- Fast roaming between access points and band steering
- Low-profile ceiling fitting that suits a finished room

Dedicated networks for family, guests and smart home
We don't put everything on one Wi-Fi name. We set up separate networks: one for the family, one for guests, and one for your smart home, AV and cameras. Your Control4 system, Lutron lighting and Ajax cameras each get their own space, so they aren't competing with a teenager's gaming or a big download. Guests get internet access but can't see your devices or your files.
- Family network for phones, laptops and TVs
- Guest Wi-Fi kept separate from your devices, with an optional welcome page or voucher
- A separate network for smart home, AV and cameras, for reliability and security
- Optional Wi-Fi schedules and speed limits, for example for children's devices
Managed and monitored
Once your network is in, we can look after it remotely. UniFi reports on the quality of your internet connection and any outages, and shows us which devices are struggling. That means we can often spot a problem and fix it before you've noticed anything, without a visit. Remote management and updates are part of our aftercare memberships, so your network keeps working as well as the day it was installed.
- Remote checks and firmware updates, scheduled to avoid disruption
- Internet quality and outage reports
- Help with adding new devices or changing passwords
- Included in iSmart aftercare memberships
Your broadband, or Starlink
We'll work with the broadband line you already have and get the best out of it. Where the line is slow or unreliable, or the house is in a rural spot with poor signal, Starlink satellite internet can make all the difference. It can be your main connection, or a second line that the UniFi gateway switches to automatically if your broadband goes down. The Dream Machine SE supports several internet connections at once, with automatic failover and load balancing, so Starlink and your broadband can work together.
- We set up and optimise your existing fibre or broadband line
- Starlink as the main connection for rural and hard-to-reach homes
- Starlink or a 5G backup for automatic failover if the main line drops
- One network and one set of Wi-Fi names, whichever connection is in use
- We can supply the Starlink kit for you and set up your subscription when we install it
Networking infrastructure
Good Wi-Fi starts with good cabling. We run proper network cable to each access point, TV, camera and work area, and terminate everything neatly in a labelled rack or cabinet. It's planned at the start of a build or renovation, and we can also fit it in finished homes. The result is a tidy installation that's easy to look after and ready for whatever you add next.
- Data points behind TVs, in home offices and at AV positions
- Cabling to ceiling access points and outdoor or indoor cameras
- Tidy, labelled racks and patch panels
- Planning with your builder or electrician on new builds and renovations
