iSmart Control designs and installs lighting control, home automation, home cinema, security and networking. We also take on extensions and renovations across the Midlands. Doing both means the technology can be planned in from the start, when the building work is ours.
Wi-Fi across a larger house
A larger house, an extension and a garden room can outgrow one router. We design a UniFi network around the plan: a gateway in a rack, ceiling access points wired back to it, and separate networks for the family, guests and the smart home, AV and cameras. Strong Wi-Fi in every room, from the loft to the bottom of the garden, is what our networking service is for.
Extending or renovating
If you're adding an extension or a garden room, the cheapest time to plan cabling, lighting control, speakers and networking is before the plaster goes on. We run home build and renovation across the Midlands, so one team can handle the building work and the smart systems on one schedule. We don't take building works on outside the Midlands.
Cinema and leisure rooms
Bigger homes often have a room that deserves more than a television on the wall. We design and build cinema and media rooms, and tie them into the lighting so one button sets the scene. The same approach works for a gym with a screen, a music room or a games room. See our work for the kind of rooms we install.
Lighting and security
Lutron lighting and blinds give scenes across the main living spaces, with motorised shading that cuts glare and keeps heat out. Ajax security puts alarms, cameras and a video doorbell in one app, so you can check the house from your phone.
Where we work around Solihull
We cover Solihull and the rest of the borough. For the city, see Birmingham. To the north, see Sutton Coldfield.
Questions we get in Solihull
Can you do the extension as well as the technology?
In the Midlands, yes. We take on extensions, renovations and fit-outs, and we plan the cabling, lighting and network into that work before the plaster goes on.
Will one router cover a big house?
Rarely. A network with wired ceiling access points is the usual answer. We'll plan the number and the positions at the survey.
Can we start small?
Yes. Many systems can start with one room and grow later. Wireless Lutron, for example, can be added without new cabling. Call 0121 716 7777 or use the estimate form. The contact page has the office address.
